Carnivore Ice cream Recipe

Carnivore Ice Cream Recipe

Here’s how to make the best carnivore diet ice cream! This recipe is great for those on the keto diet, paleo diet, low-carb diet, or any animal-based diet, etc (though it can be enjoyed by anyone).

When I started the carnivore diet, I didn’t know it was possible to make healthy ice cream. This recipe has both an unsweetened and sweetened version. Personally, I prefer adding a little bit of raw honey, but its still delicious if you leave it out!

This is something I eat on occasion for a treat, not as a dietary staple. Though the raw dairy and raw egg yolks are nutrient powerhouses, so you technically could make it as a meal—if you tolerate them well (especially if you omit the honey/sweetener).

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red mound salt
  • (optional) 1-3 tbsp of raw honey
  • (optional) 1 tsp of vanilla

Instructions

  1. Separate egg yolks from the whites
  2. Mix together egg yolks, heavy cream, redmond salt
  3. (optional) Add raw honey and vanilla. Keep in mind the raw honey will add carbs to your ice cream. If you’re looking for a zero carb sweetener to use, I’d recommend allulose. The ice cream still tastes great unsweetened, but I prefer a bit of raw honey in it.
  4. Once ingredients are well combined, add the mixture to the ice cream maker and mix for about 25 minutes (until its the texture of soft serve ice cream).
  5. Eat right away or store in a glass container in the freezer for a few hours to let it harden before serving!
