Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Shake
This protein shake tastes like blueberry cheesecake, packs 30 grams of protein and doesn’t contain protein powder. The source of the protein comes from low fat cottage cheese, and once blended with almond milk, frozen blueberries, sweetener and vanilla, tastes just like a milkshake.
The tang from the cottage cheese mimicks the tang in cream cheese which gives cheesecake that signature taste. I love the brand Good Culture for this protein shake recipe. Be sure to grab the 2% fat container and not the 4% or whole.
It’s best to use frozen blueberries for this recipe. When frozen, the blueberries double as soft ice pellets which make the texture and temperature of the shake perfect.
If you have fresh blueberries, put them in the freezer after washing. Avoid adding ice as that will make the shake icy and not creamy. The creaminess of the shake is divine. I get the big bag of frozen organic blueberries from Costco for cheap.
